Ric Rojas Mental Preparation for High Performance
Ric Rojas has developed a highly effective mental
preparation program for approaching competition. The program consists of four one-on-one
sessions with Ric.
Session One: breathing and relaxation
Session Two: goal setting and planning
Session Three: Kinesethetic* visualization
Session Four: race specific mental preparation.
Embedded in the process are Ric’s ten steps for personal peak
performance:

4. Preparation and Programming

6. Practice
7. Persistence
8. Periodicity
9. Pacing
10. Performance
Experience with the program has consistently produced more
confident and higher performing athletes.
Although these results are not guaranteed, the probability that the
athlete will improve should greatly increase with consist practice with Ric’s
mental practice techniques.
*Kinesthetic learning is a learning
style in which learning takes by the student actually carrying out a
physical activity, rather than listening to a lecture or merely watching a
demonstration. It is also referred to as tactile learning. People with a
kinaesthetic learning style are also commonly known as do-ers.
